I am cheap, cheap, cheap, and I have an extra stock exhaust system for my 91 and was wondering if anyone hear has built a left side system from a stock header assembly, I have access to all sorts of tools and a TIG welder, so the fabrication is not a big issue. I just thought that if someone else has done it I could cheat a little.

I can't help, but if you pull it off I'd be down to have you make me one. Cheapest I've found is out of the UK that custom builds them and damn near 2k after shipping.

    Cheap left side exhaust

Cheapest way I can see, find a used TBR system.

Second, get a RC30 exhaust system and put it on. It should fit. BTW, I think for sell now on Ebay.co.uk.

Third, get a 4th gen system, cut the primaries off and make a secondary out the left side with connector and can(s). Maybe a 4-2-1-2 system would be flatter, making the exit under the swingarm easier.

Pays your money, takes your choices.

I was going to cut the big collector section of the stock pipe off and build my own collector from the stock tubes and then weld on the ball joint piece from the stock collector. I have a cobra f1 can with the ball socket pipe. I was thinking of using that and using an oval section pipe to fit around the swing arm.
