I found this website that has TONS of parts for the VF1000R--specifically the 1986 version. One of the coolest things (in my opinion) was the carbon fiber levers you can get for the bike. I thought it would be a nice touch to mine. Here is the website: carbon fiber look levers Now, for those of you who say carbon fiber is not authentic to the era, I do understand that it was not common back then. However, if any of you have ever been to the Smithsonian, you will note that in 1879 or 1880 Thomas Edison actually created a horse carriage out of carbon fiber. After he invented the carbon filament in 1879, he apparently took a break and since he was not a lady's man he needed something other than himself to impress the ladies. So, instead of wood or metal for a carriage he created one from the new material known as carbon fiber since he realized it's extremely strong capabilities. Apparently the ladies were VERY impressed from old newspaper articles of the day and he had many dates after that. So, basically what I am saying is that my new carbon fiber levers will get me lots of chicks (according to the greatest inventor in American history).
Its the least cool thing you can add to your bike, why you say? Beacuse ITS NOT CARBON FIBER! Anyone can see that its fake, and fake carbon fiber is the worst thing ever!
