ummm, this wire fell out from behind my instrument cluster. I have no idea where it goes or what it's for. Everything is still working correctly. I know the previous owner had the bike painted so the front fairing must have been off at some point. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think that is the outside air thermometer.

Pull the sheathing back if you can, check the color coding of the wires and compare that to the wiring schematic for your bike and then you'll have your answer.

inside of right front fairing-should be a hole shaped like the end of it.

do you know if I can plug it back in without removing the front fairing? On of the threads was retapped so I'm nervous to take it apart
