OK, this is the mac dady one, as honda lavished a large number of
pages on their new 'superstar' bike.

I can remember when they were first released and I wanted one bad!
I finally got one about 8 years later. by then they were cheap as chips
and much maligned. But i didnt care.

in 1983 stuff like, single shock suspension,3/4 fairings, V4 engines, 16 inch front wheels, and real world superbike handling was like groundbreaking stuff.
we were just emerging from the 'UJM' era, so this bike was the shizzz!

anyway ive always had a soft spot for the gen one, choclate cams and all!

so this is my tribute to her. god bless her and all who still sail /sailed on her.

check out the rinky dink Alpine Stars boots, complete with buckles!
not to metion Honda own propaganda machine in full swing with their
hyper marketing in the written text.

    enjoy.

Wow, thanks for the go back

I was impressed with the first V-4's also and bought a new blue one in 1983. I had a older KZ750 and my new VF750F doubled the horsepower with the same displacement. It was a technology treasure chest at the time, but how quickly it became obsolete with the gen 2 VFR's of which I also fell in love with and had to have. So in 1986, the VF went bye-bye and was replaced with the VFR750F. Still a great machine.
