    Yamalube

From what I have read, Yamalube is by far and away the best. Most race teams have made the switch in the 600CC races to this oil whether they be Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, or any of the other non-jap brands.

However, I agree that full synthetic would be bad unless all the seals are changed and brand new. I have read a chemistry paper (not motorcycle related) that show fast-mo damage caused to older rubber seals with full synthetic versus the natural sweet crude that has been processed.

So, I would say go with the regular easy to find Honda oil and change every 2000 miles just to be safe.

I do not say this from experience; I say this from reading a chemistry report from Princeton. No, it was not online, so I cannot send a link. I read the paper and watched the video at the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base when they were considering switching to full synthetic in some of their machines. However, I think one of those machines was the USMC issued Kawasaki KLR650 with the 119MPG diesel engine. I had no clue that synthetic oil was an option for anything diesel.
