Welcome to the site. Not sure what by what you mean by F or T or R model, unless you mean VFR750FP for example. The last letter is a model year designation for the most part.

As for posts, there are different forums to post in. There is a modification forum for posting of modifications to your bike, such as aftermarket exhausts. There is a general discussion forum for bike related topics which may not fall into a specific sub-forum. There is an anything (almost) goes forum which is self explanatory and then there are generation specific forums for each generation of VFR from 1st to 6th. There is also a classified section and a buying and selling section. Take some time and explore the site and become familiar with all its features.

    Again, welcome to VFRWorld

greetings fast robin! sounds like you probably have a gen 4 model if its a 97.

look for the 'NACA' duct on the side of the fairing to confirm this, or post up a pic so we can see what youve got. any way check out the pic below and if it looks the same, then you know what it is.

i think the correct description for this is VFR 750F, but i will stand corrected.
i think also that the honda model year letter for 97 may have been an X ?
i bought a new blackbird that year which would make it a CBR1100XX X?
cant really remeber that too well though.

lastly the best pipe will depend on 2 things. whats available locally and how much you want to spend. Micron seems to be a commonly available brand that offers a variety of materials for their cans-carbon,titanium,stainless etc or try a local brand like staintune-made in oz. check out somewhere like MCA in oz as they will probably have anumber of brand options and price ranges.

lastly welcome and check out the oz registration thread in the aust & NZ regional section of the thread index.

    regards

    RT
