This is crazy, except for buying oil at the Honday dealer I cannot find anything else for synthetic oil. Does anyone have recomendations on where at what oil to buy and not get ripped off? The very few choices that I found are below:

Castrol GTX 10w40 mc oil- Canadian tire -4 buck a litre
Amsoil 10w-40 synthetic mc oil , canadian tire- 15 bucks a litre!
Dealer, synthetic mc oil - 20 bucks a litre!

That is it! Should I just buy 10w 40 Mobil synt auto oil? 8 buck a litre.

Filters would be nice also, dealer charges 12 bucks a filter.

    Help!

[IMG] How about Shell Rotella or other HDD/heavy duty diesel oils, these typically work very well in motorcycles and are normally available in gallon jugs. Here's Shell's link for Canada dealers: Shell Canada Limited - Our Bulk Agents

Depending on how much oil you buy each year you might do the amsoil preffered customer thing, then the 10w40 motorcycle oil is around usd$7 / quart. If you live near enough to a warehouse (Toronto or Edmonton) you can pick it up to save shipping, or make a nice exuse for a viffer ride to run a 1200 mile errand hehehe. The amsoil filter at least for 6th gens is eaom103.

I always get my filters at napa, and either any diesel rated oil from anywhere, or else Lucas oil semi- synthetic, also at napa....

You don't say where you are, but I have had no issues in greater Vancouver finding Motul 3100 mineral and Motul 5100 semi-synthetic m/c oils (the 5100 shifts better in my experience) at local independent bike shops like 5th Gear and Imperial Motorcycles. 5th Gear also carries Amsoil bike oils. I think they are about $10 a liter and IIRC the last big jug (4.4 liters I think) of Motul 5100 I bought cost me about $35 cdn.
