I'm tired of the standard sport type grips. I'm looking for something more comfortable, geared more towards touring. Any suggestions?

I've always been a fan of Oury grips, for both motorcyles and mountain bikes. They're thicker than your typical sport/mx grips, but firm enough that you still get good feel.

No one else I know runs them on motorcycles, but on bikes, those with larger hands tend to like them more than those with smaller hands. As an added plus, they come with a nifty 80's style hologram sticker to put on your toolbox.

The road grips pictured here are the ones I use: http://www.jcwhitney.com/webapp/wcs..._ID:2002130&productId=2002130&catalogId=10111

There are several types of gel grips. Mine are by ProGrips.

ProGrip 699 Gel = awesome... nickname - waffle grips - pic in gallery. I have used them on the last 3 sporty bike I've had. Its one of the few product I have tryed from feeling it on a buddys bike and thinking --- "I must buy these grips now!". A++..

    grips

You might want to try some "grip puppies". I have them on my 07 RWB
and they are pretty comfortable. Cheap under $9.00 and easy to put on.
If you don't like em just peel them off.

Old one came right off with my air nozzle and new coushy foam ones went right on the same way! Much Better. And oh these are the larger foam ones not the flat ones. Like these:
