    Interchangeability of parts ...

    Hello:

As to the interchangeability of parts, here is a great help. Go to this web site:

Honda Motorcycle Parts, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha Motorcycle Parts - ATV, Classic Bike, Dirt Bike Parts

… locate the on-line parts-fiche for your bike … look into the parts-fiche for the part number in question … click on the underlined part number … and a secondary window will open up, which is entitled “Suited for Models.” In that “Suited for Models” window is a cross-reference that will tell you EVERY Honda, which uses that part.

    The Netherlands ...

    Hello:

You are very welcome. That resource has saved my little butt many, many times. Why? Well, because I have a gray market bike (hence, my screen name here), which is an '89 VFR750FK (RC24). I'm pretty sure it was made for the German market (speedo/odometer in kilometers, not miles, for example).

That outfit, CMS, is in The Netherlands. I've always wondered how the Hell they managed to provide such a resource. In my mind's eye, I see dozens of young, large-breasted, blond Dutch women loading the cross reference information into the computer system. :vanity:

Check cheapcycleparts.com for the cheapest OEM parts around. You can buy levers just about anywhere that match perfect. I still have a new set I bought on the web for about $13 apiece. They are dead on to stock for my 83.
