Hey boys and girls! Things seem to be a little tense around here lately, so I thought about posting this thread in an effort to try and loosen things up. This thread is all about showing the LOVE so please do not argue or call each other names on it. If you do disagree on other threads, please do not insult one another, just try to debate in a mature/fun way.

I for one, do not care if you ride a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, or a 6th gen, .....you are all part of the VFRWorld brotherhood and help make this place a very fun/helpful/informative/addicting site to hang around and be part of. If we all could maybe step back and see about how we can make VFRWorld even a stronger place, by not caring what gen bike that somebody rides, just that they ride, and they are happy with their bike, and they love their bike. That is really all that matters. I am not singling anybody out, this is just a general statement.

Sure well all have a little fun joke going around sometimes about what is the favorite year gen......but that is just what that should be, a fun joke just to keep things loose. Not an argument that all other bikes suck. As long as you are happy with your bike, that should be all that matters.

VFRWorld is a place where you can get help for your problems, information, meeting riding partners, make friends, express opinions, and share knowledge with one another. Please help make us even stronger by putting aside any "my bike is better than yours" or "your bike sucks, and is outdated" because we all have a common bond that brings us together....."riding our two wheeled machines out on the open road, and anywhere else that we can!"

I would love to ride with any of you, not matter if you are on a Yamaha, Kawasaki, BMW, Ducati, etc, just as long as you have a good attitude, and what someone rides does not make you think they are inferior, or dumb because of it. A good demeanor, is much more important to me than what kind of bike you ride to me. Let us all just get along, and keep this place fun!

Ok, that said.....who wants to get out and ride??? ME!

    Keep the rubberside down! :vtr2:

but my bike is better than yours...mainly because it's mine and yours is to damn far away to be of any use.

Honestly though this sight has helped a ton, the vfr is my first bike and without vfr world i would have so many answered questions, i would also have no idea how to maintain my bike.

Dammit, I was going to say that!

Good idea, Derstuka, things were getting a bit tense in places.

I do agree as well that I could care less what people ride. Underneath we are all riders first, Honda owners second. I've got a Suzuki as well, I ride with people on many other other makes and models, and I don't even give it a second thought. What is important is that we are joined by the thrill of riding.

I generally believe that we ride VFR's because we have the maturity, gained from years of experience of riding, of riding other bikes or simply having the wisdom obtained from life experiences that has taught to us make the right choices. Regardless of what gen bike you choose to ride, it is still a VFR, and that makes you one of us.

One writer that reviewed the VFR recently wrote that the VFR was a gentleman's sportbike.........let's see if we can make VFRWorld the gentleman's VFR forum of choice.

I did not pick my Yellow Beast, she picked me.
So on the web site that VFRs go to when we sleep they argue about which rider is best.
Who has nicer butts. Older or Younger riders habits. Who leans the furthest or gives the best rub downs...

OK, that was weird. I love you guys.

Sniff, sniff, yes I remember that special night we stayed up watching brokeback after a ride... oh whoops!! It's not that kind of thread!

I don't give a damn either what kind of ride you have either. Hell, my best friend has a Honda CB919 and another riding buddy has a Suzuki SV1000. We don't care about who's riding what as long as you're enjoying your ride and sharing fun moments!

I like this site not only because of the great advice and technical information but it also provides a great "lighter" side to motorcycling. Sense of humor is a requirement here.

    P.S.
Derstuka, make sure to ask the next girl you nearly run over what she thinks of the Iraq situation

    LOL!

Hey Joey and drewl, you guys are bringing back some good memories of "the rub down"!

OK kind of creepy...I'm going to go have sex with the VFR!

That's the nice thing about a shotgun exhaust, the top is 4th base and the bottom is 5th base!

    Seriously,

If it weren't for people like Jamie Daugherty, masonV45, the guy at JT Electrical and others this site would be crap.

Because of VFRW I know what to expect from any generation I end up purchasing, if I did.

    And that's a good thing.

Not quite right here. I am 52. I have age and maybe not maturity. I wanna be a fireman when I grow up. I have little experience riding, being a two year rider. My wisdom is most often mistaken as gobble gock. Most my memorable life's experience hurt like hell. But I did have the sense first, to finally get a MC, second to Take the course. third to by new, and forth to make it a VFR and fifth but not least.... wait for it....ready... joined VFRworld.

OOOOHH I think I am ready to vomit now folks.

WHre's the beer thread...how 'bout the scotch. Did anyone answer my thread on golfing?

    ahhhhh....love indeed

I have been semi-lurking here since last summer, mainly because I haven't decided exactly how to fit my brand of humour and nonsense into this mix. I find this to be a righteous place for info, but haven't done much to make myself better known.

Over at the Valkyrie board (VRCC), I just kinda stopped being a regular as well. Time, energy and attention can and do change with life chuggin' along.

So for the sake of this "love thread", let me end this by ripping this quote from The Portable Curmudgeon

"Love: Two minutes and fiftytwo seconds of squishy noises"

Now maybe you can see why I lurk...

It's not about sport bikes vs cruisers, American vs foreign, Honda vs anything else. I went to the AHDRA races a few weeks ago, and the HD guys showed me and my VFR as much love as I showed those big iron machines. Hells Angels, Pagans, all of them.

Remember, it's not what you ride, as long as you ride!

Except those scooter guys. Something weird about those things.:der::der::der::drool:

    Great responses all...

    I bought a 4th, while looking for a 5th, because I can't afford a 6th!
I'm an old school analog guy in a digital world so 'carbs are cool'.
It came with a D&D, to loud for me, put a Staintune baffle in it and now, in the words of one of my more experienced rider friends who rode it "It sounds like I'm being chased by an old 454 Chevelle SS."
Love this site-try to check it every day...
