Hey guys found this site searching for different things on what I hope to be my next bike. Found a 2003 for just over $6100 with just over 4200 miles on it. In the process of getting a second job to pay for it. Interview on monday. Finding this site, joining it and posting will probably make my chances of getting this bike better, or make it that much more painfull when someone else buys it away from me. But anyways hope to be on thes site asking dumb questions about stuff I don't understand soon. See ya later.

Welcome to the forum white chocolate....I sure hope that you don't melt! Been to Sioux Falls a couple times years ago....nothin' like hitting up the "Frying Pan" after a good night of partying!

Good luck for your journey to get the '03. VFRs are a great bike to have.

    Best of luck

Good luck getting the '03. Its a pretty unique bike around here. It'll turn heads, I guarantee it. My '07 is the only other VFR Interceptor I've seen around here, any generation. (I live in Brandon, work in Sioux Falls.) You'll stand out for sure.

Someone got it consigned at Powerbrokers?

Be sure to post some pics when you get it done.

Fry'n Pan. DerStuka? You truly are a world traveller!

What color is your vfr seamus. I seen a red one the other day off of western and 49th in the parking lot of that strip mall on the east side of western. Had some kind of pipes with four outlets. I cant think of the name of the pipes but I have seen them in pics before. Maybe we could go riding sometime, my interview went pretty good at funiture outlets USA. Hopefully I will be working there part time at 10 bucks an hour. That's pretty good for part time. Have you lived in brandon for a long time? I have some family that live there. On a sad note(you guys probably don't need to hear it) my grandma passed away today. She lived in brandon, her name was Alice Heikes. She lived on yellowstone I believe was the name of the street, blue house on the corner with a huge garden. But anyways hopefully I get this bike I really like the look and cheep insurance helps too. Derstuka I to have been to frying pan late at night, can be a scary time of the night if its busy. Lot of drunks. Sioux Falls is nothing special for riding, but I plan on taking many trips to the Black Hills for some nice riding. I love it out there. Maybe over time I will go further then that someday, but 400 miles at once is good for a first timer.

Sorry to hear about your grandmother.

My Interceptor is the wine red color. I think I saw the bike you're talking about in that part of town today. The one I saw was a red 5th generation. Looks well kept. Didn't notice the pipes...he was moving too fast.

Let me know when you get the bike, maybe I can go out. Not to be standoffish, but I've got a 10-month old baby in the house. Commuting is about all I'm permitted to do for now. Time off is for family until further notice. That's a good thing, don't get me wrong.

I just picked my bike up this spring. I haven't gotten it out to the Hills yet. I'm really looking forward to that. There are some terrific roads out there, great scenery.

    Best of luck, White Chocolate.

    Thank you.

I too have a baby in the house, A little girl at 16 months. I always thought it was wierd how people would count month even after they turn one. Now I do it and still have no idea why. I guess when you have a kid each month means something a little more then when you don't.

WC, Welcome to the group. Hope you are able to get that VFR. Riding that to work will help save some $$ on fuel and let you spoil your 16 month old. There is a lot of info here that I am reasonably sure you will find useful.

I think the bike I saw was this guy that works at power borkers that sold me mine, 6th gen with lasers. His name is Jeremy. He showed his bike to me when I picked mine up.

I was fairly certain that the only guy at powerbrokers vith a viffer was the owner Jim. I have seen Jim's 6th gen a couple of times it had a corbin seat and the wind screen with the little 2 inch piece that flips up for more wind protection, but i dont recall what exhaust he had.

I don't know the guy had the keys for it. Corbin seat with the laser exhaust and I did not notice if the windscreen was different.

I saw the pictures you posted with your little girl & the Interceptor...good stuff. I've been meaning to do the same, but just haven't gotten around to it. As quickly as they grow, he may be sneaking the key off the hook and taking it for clandestine rides before I get around to getting some pics with him on the bike.
