ever since I saw a late 80's VFR750 on the freeway, guy laid out on the tanks, feet on the back pegs...... I knew I wanted one. I am taking my time and looking for the VF500F because I am a new rider. but this bike has haunted me for years.

I am glad I found this site and I hope to find my dream V4 to own soon.

Welcome to the group. I am glad you didn't title it new "Kid" on the block as I'd have had to go on a boy band tangent. ;-) Anyway, good luck with your search and may you find the machine you are searching for.

Nope I am not young, only young at heart, considering I was reading the articles on the VF500F and VFR750 when they first came out in the 80's.

    Thanks guys.

PS I lived through the "boy bands" so I would have ranted with you.......

Maybe its a bucks thing but a kawi 250 would be a better starter bike for you. Also if you can get some dirtbike riding, do it. I was roughly 15 too when I started riding, but it was all on dirtbikes and motocross.

I'm trying to find something smaller.. My first bike at the moment is going to be my VF700C. The Interceptor need LOTS of work.

Thanks for the compliments and suggestions.......

Sadly being 265# the Ninja 250 (even the new one) is a bit small for me. I am looking at the 500 though.

I had intended to get into a Interceptor or CBR after riding for a while and I wish I had the time to dirt ride. Between work and school my time is stretched pretty thin as it is.
