I just made a fender eliminator

    This thing is far from perfect... and this is my first attempt a metal fabrication. I used to do a little woodwork- never metal though. For a first attempt, I'll take it. I used an angle grinder to do most of the fabrication. I spent enough time working on it that my wife got a bit mad at me for spending too much time in the garage... Oh well-- she will get over it (I HOPE!)

    i made mine also, but i took the fiberglass route. looks good homie.

    Upload some pics of yours... I'd like to see how the fiberglass looks.

    I think I'll try to make another before too long. I will make it a little shorter to tuck the plate between the pipes a little better.

    I have found that a little paint covers a multitude of fabrication mistakes.

    not bad, but where the the water go when the tire kicks it up. Thats my ?. I ride in any weather and the on my last bike I fabed a fender elimater and after a little rain or a few puddles my back would be filthy. any suggestions, rear huggers do they work?

    looks good. :)

    I'm going to look into fabricating a fiberglass rear hugger/chain guard. I want one but can't support paying 300+ to get one.

    I have read others on some of these threads that say that getting sprayed up the back is not much of a problem. Most of the water and dirt accumulate on the tail light.
