    Hey,

THe pics are of a bike I pickedup in Columbus for $750. As stated in an earlier post I have some work to do (carbs) but it is ride-able now just on the slow side. I've wanted one ofthese since I graduated from high school (89) and now I got one.

That looks like a pretty nice bike, and at a great price! It's got kind of a hodge podge of body pieces but at least they all appear to be in good shape. Nice find!

Yeah, its got a frankenstein thing going for it. At least none of the parts rattle off when I'm riding.

You might try some Seafoam in the gas to clean up the carbs.

The guy who owned it lived in Powell, just outside C-Bus. He had it posted on some obscure site. Original price was $1450. No one replied on it in something like 6 months. When I e-mailed him he just offered it at $750, no haggling! He used to ride with his kid who joined the army and after sitting 3 years he wanted the garage space back.

I tried some sea-foam in the first tank and it helped. I think I may just keep making fuel/carb cleaner cocktails this summer to see if that makes things better and then get into it in the winter if it doesn't. As I said before, it runs ok and is perfectly reliable, just slow. I keep having bad dreams of women in Vespas kicking may ass at a stoplight!
