Hello, my name is Tore Log and I´m from Norway. I work as a scaffolder in the Ekofisk oilfield in the northsea. I´m working 2 weeks on, 3 weeks off, 2 weeks on & 4 weeks off. So I have a lot of spare time 2 ride my VFR. I´m working night shift this time, working stand by in case the drilling needs our service, sometimes often, sometime not. Since I was 10 years old, I´ve been a MC & Honda freak. When Honda came with the VF750F Interceptor in 1983. I started to like the V4, but When the VF1000R came in 1984 (the VF1000R didn´t come to the US until 1985) I became a V4 freak. It had the same colours as the grand prix winning NS500 too "Fast" Freddie Spencer in 1983. It had 2 round tail light imitating the 2 silencer that th NS500 had under the seat. It was so cool, and I was sold! My first V4 was actually a VF1000R 1985 US model. It was imported from USA to Norway via Germeny.I bought it in 1997. It was repainted in Rothmans colour, but I wasn´t quite happy with the colour. It was to bright. So I got it repainted again in a darker blue colour. A very nice result. In august 2000 I ended in a ditch. The VF got condemned.I still miss the VF. But then I bought a black VFR800FI (not F1 as many people think) 1998 model. And I am very happy with it, only missing the midrange power from the VF. I have change the silencer with a carbon Youshimura slip on to get som more sound and little bit more mid range & top power. I just love the roar of the VFR with the Youshi. I also have a Giwi rack with 3 cases. The rack I can put on/off in 10 minutes, so I can change from touring to racing in no time. Now I am waiting for Honda to come with a bigger VFR. At least a 900, hopefully a VFR1000. Or what about a V5.
Welcome. Quite a few people patiently (or impatiently!!) hoping for Honda to release a bigger VFR.
Yes, that sounds more like german. In norwegian it would be velkommen. It´s not so very different either from german or english.
