    Hey,

First time I rode the VFR I was like "where have you been all my life...?"

Recently purchased a red 1996 VFR 750 with around 9,950 miles...it seemed like low mileage for a 12-year-old bike and was very clean mechanically and body wise. Always garaged, too. And for around $3,700 not too bad a deal, I hope.

After coming from my 2005 GS500F (which I still have and like but will likely pass it along to the wife), it was like stepping up from a tricked-out Corolla to a Lexus. Silky smooth drivetrain, plenty of oomph when urging the throttle and the retro cat-eye headlights and body styling has made it a bike I really enjoy. Will post a photo soon...any riders in the Louisville, Ky. area -- let me know! Thanks...And I will be learnin' more about this bike from all you VFRexperts!:whoo:

    some photos finally

Thanks guys! Here's some photos I took today...I'm kinda a graphic geek so I added a little typography to the images. Best money on a bike I've spent in a long time...

Thanks, Derstuka! I feel I lucked out...I was kicking myself a few weeks ago when I whiffed on an opportunity to purchase a YZF600R for $3,500 that had 6,000 miles on it...I acted to slow. When I saw the VFR in person I was like "Oh yeah...what was that other bike?" Plus, they're kinda rare around here (at least, I haven't seen many) and stand out amid all the gixxer 600s, FZ6' and such.

Maybe I'll meet up with Sir White Knight sometime...

That is one thing that I like about VFR's, is that not everybody and their brother has one, unlike R6's, R1's, Gixxers, etc....

Oh, and you can go to "community" at the top of the page, and select "members" then "member map" if you want to see about riders near you. I know that we have quite a few in OH. You can also post a thread under North America, Midwest or South, and see who bites.
