Just thought I'd introduce myself. I've been a long time V4 guy, having owned a VF500, VF700, and a 94 VFR. Unfortunately I had a little incident with the '94 several years ago, and went without 2-wheeled transport for a few years. I got sucked into the swirling vortex of general aviation, which is definitely fun and challenging, but I spent too much time longing to be back in the twisties (not that there are many in northeast Ohio). Aaaaaaanyway, I finally decided to get off the pot and get another VFR this week- '98 with 23k, some minor cosmetic issues and a bunch of spares. I've only had time to ride to work & back a few times, but, it's like a mini homecoming to be back on a bike again. Unfortunately, it looks like I'll be doing battle with the R/R gods this weekend. Seems to be a minor charging problem going on; clock won't stay set.
Welcome Ohio guy - youll have to come a bit south someday. A '98? - Wow there seem to be bunch of them here. R/R time? Theres plenty of info here if you do a search. Congrats! Good luck! MD
Thanks for the welcome everyone! Unfortunately it's R/R time sooner than I thought- connector was melted when I finally got around to looking at it . So rather than riding on this beautiful weekend, I'm back to wanna-be (at least I have a bike to sit on and make vroom vroom noises). I noticed a lot more 98-01s for sale out there than the 94-97s when I was looking. MD, I'll try to make it down there- I go to Lunken occasionally for work so maybe we can meet up at some point! Andy
welcome, and hello fellow ohio member! There are a couple of us near dayton and at least one near columbus. Its a great bike, so don't let this one little fix get you down, as you will be back on the bike shortly, enjoying the week!
