Having started theis thread some time ago, it is nice to see it is still going on. It IS a thrill to see a bike like ours. The last time it happened for me was two weeks ago, I was riding my road bike and I saw a MC approaching in my mirror and I suspected it was a 2008 VFR...sure enough, when it passed I could see (and hear) it was. Perhaps since it was the same red as mine it was easier to spot. I wanted to chase him but I'm afraid my legs didn't match the 781 cc's even though my VTEC legs tried...

We love our bikes, don't we?

I guess I would have to say I honestly don't care what the otehr guys are riding. Or at least I didn't until now. Now that I have met folks from here because they saw me out and about. Now that I have met quite a few riding buddies . I may want to pay more attention.

I hadn't seen any VFR's around prior to buying mine.
Then I saw one near work which is 30 miles from home.
Turns out the guy lives a stones throw from me in my small town of 2500.
Actually I think I was a little bummed that I no longer had the only one...
    I got over it. He's got a yellow 02. Mine is a Red 99.

    Hey Buzzy,

I have a red one and live in Aloha - you may be the other red one I keep thinking I see out that way.

Another VFR pulled up and passed me on the southbound lane of I-287, north of Morristown on Saturday. Looked to have a custom paint job, dark metallic purple. The guy pulled up, I looked over, he gave me a thumbs up and I waved. Then he took off through traffic.

Yo, Barleymashers, I was in Basking Ridge in October and I think I saw that VFR! It was before I had mine so my ID skills were not as keen as now so I might be wrong. Beautiful roads around there...

did you ask them if they were members here? I actually met both Tori and SLOVFR and SLOav8r from the board here before we started riding together, and then I had that BBQ on easter and met several more peeps. My yard looked a VFR clubhouse.

The 06 was rented, so no membership there. Did not ask the 5th gen owner, my bad.

There are a handful around this area, mostly 6th gen. I really like to see the older models too, but they are rare. Sometimes I'll have the only VFR on our Thursday bike night here, but occasionally it will have friend or two.

Saw ANOTHER 5th gen today. Red with hard top case traveling eastbound on 395 towards Reno. We were opposite directions in construction so no contact, but I was on my 5th gen at the time.

I am headed to the local bike night here in Cleveland on Weds night @ Quaker state & lube. They say over 3500 bikes show up on any given night. Hope to see another Viffer there. Stopped there 2 weeks ago on a bad weather day and I had the only VFR. Had kind of a special proud feeling, after seeing rows of CBR's, knowing I had something special.

Just got back from Croatia where I hired a Scooter for a day to see the sites. I rode the thing about 200m when I saw a dark blue 02 VFR all kitted up for touring and couldnt help but react to my partner. "look, a VFR just like mine". Not something I expected to see in Croatia, but it was exciting!

    Around here I see lot o'crotch rockets and cruisers . . .

I was just getting back to work after lunch today and as I was taking off my helmet in our parking lot, a gorgeous black VFR drove by on Baseline, turning right onto Superstition Springs Blvd. As I realized it was indeed a VFR (a 6th gen) I stopped what I was doing and I had this huge smile on my face--it's the first VFR I've seen on the roads that I knew fer sher was a VFR.

So yeah, Nungboy, count me among those who get a thrill at seeing "one of ours."

It was a nice looking bike, but not a color for me. As for the roads, I agree. I do most of my riding up by there and to the west. Lots of nice winding roads in that part of the state that most people either forget about or don't even realize they are there.

yodasmile I hit the jackpot yesterday. In the morning, I was driving to Ft.Worth and saw a red 5th Gen driving to Dallas on I30. Then I went to the Sonic in Garland for bike night(like I always do on Thursdays) and saw these 2 beauties. I talk to both owners for a long time and told them about the site. They didn't knew it. The black one is 2006, the guy told me that he rides it a lot, he has a trip planned to Colorado for next week. The Red one is a 2002(Just like mine), The guy told me that he used to have an 87 VFR, he sold it a couple of years ago and then bough the 02. Here are the pics.
