    My wife !

Well me & the wife hadn't had any time with just each other, because of my un-retired  12 plus hr work day & she works as well.

So what does she do, she asks a friend to watch our son (you've seen him, the one @ WSBK with all the gorgous umbrella girls that the wife took ) so we can go for a ride on one of the bikes.
I said a short one & she said no ! All day :)tongue:) .

Well so we planned to go were I haven't been yet & we took off from Lindon, UT. East down Provo Cyn to Heber were we stopped & ate breakfest & I questioned her if she really wanted to keep going, & she replied with a Hell Yes !

Wow, I'm stunned & we take off N 40 to 32 East to 35 SE through Wolf Creek Summit, & down to 40East.
We continued 40East to Vernal & took a water break, Then I F/U & missed the sign & detoured to Dinosaur, Co. (75 mile round trip out of the way I wanted to go ) but it was fun getting back on course since I new there was no LEO's hiding & cruised back to vernal averaging 110 & flew through a nice long sweeper @ 134.6 (GPS) & made up the lost time  .

We got back to Vernal & made the right turn on 191 up some beautiful areas (& nice twisties ) until I caught up to a Nat'l Park LEO (& yes they will issue tickets). The wife was so getting into the leaning & diving into the turns that made them easy to ride fast (her, both Paniers full & the trunk Panier full, another words bike was maxed & still handled great).
The LEO new the roads well & actually stepped it up to where his 4x4 P/U had the tyres screaming, I was happy that he wanted to play & we tagged along for quite a way's through merging onto 44 N. a while Until we came up to Sheeps Creek Bay, part of Flaming Gorge Reservoir (Was a trip because until then the LEO was passing Tourists left & right with us in tow ).
Nice area (will have to come back with the Kayaks) & took a Drinks & bathroom break, as well as sit & take in all the scenery (God is quite the artist :pope2: ).
We then continued on 44N until we made the junction of 43 that took us NE through some more long sweepers & gorgous land (Very, very, very Green & mild climate) intil we crossed into Wyoming (43 becomes 414) & again the terrain changed so many different types & was a very speedy ride on continous long sweepers that only danger was them stupid Prarie dogs that stand up & wait by the curb until you come by & then & only then try to cross .
I managed to miss every one of them (good thing I'm used to sudden changes in splitting lanes in SoCal & when riders crash in front of me @ the tracks  ) or the bike would of gotten messy & or worse & slide out :crutch: . The little towns were cool & wow does Wyoming take care of there roads , the high speeds were just fun with the smooth & well taken care of roads ( I started to question if there was any WHP in Wyoming or are they self Policed ???? Because I didn't see not one !).

We then took 414 straight norh to I-80 @ the city of Mountain view & 410W turn interchange.
Thinking I was ticket free, that I wouldn't chance some fast pace on I-80 & cruised @ 85 mph heading West, well so much for that Idea  .
I almost got ran over, I guess it's ok to fly in Wyoming so we cranked it up to 95 to stay even with the flow & thought if the rigs are at that speed, then it should be OK to go a little faster.
So for 38 miles we cruised @ between 110-125 GPS to Evenstan where we stopped to get fuel.
Wifes butt started to get sore & thanked me for the break (4 minutes total to fuel, sip water & get back on the freeway :bolt: ).

The rest of the way & through Utah I don't think the flow dropped more than 95 mph more than a few seconds for traffic with the exception of the tighter stuff (not us though ) on I-80 through the smaller towns, Echo Reservoir, Coalville & the Canyon just B-4 the I-80/40S interchange.
Traffic was light & I never blasted through that area so fast B-4, it was nice !
we took the 40 south to Heber & was @ a slow pace of 75 with several SUV's passing me since I new it was a high ticket area (speed limit is 65) & sure enough coming down the hill to Heber there was 2 SUV's pulled over that passed me ( :bootyshake2: ) & one more UHP in the medium that gave me a thumbs up as I went buy (He he he he he).

Got into Heber than headed west to & through Provo Cyn & to home.

What a freaking fun day with the wife with 462 miles on the clock 4 times the turns as the Dragon, - a true trooper & keeper keeper she is.

Not to mention afterwords she said I should Ride Fri, Sat, & Sun, track day's next weekend for the R2SL charity/track day's (was only doing one day ).

Now she's up to something or as I thought, I have a great catch :cheer2:

    Pics comming soon !

But how long will it last at those speeds? If you slow down and have a chance to appreciate the reasons you are riding a bike, to be a part of nature, not a blur....

If you want some nice canyon turn, go the same direction, but when you reach Duschesne, go south on 191 over "Indian Canyon". It's only maybe 40 miles until you reach SR6, but it's a great ride with some sharp "25 MPH" turns. Hah. That will dump you onto SR6 a few miles north of Helper. You can head west and come out in Spanish Fork. Sr6 is a decent ride too, but it has a lot of traffic and troops.

I'm just a couple more miles south of Helper.

That does sound like a great day.
I am so jelous of you guys out west, I just remember my drive from NC up to AK about 9 years ago and the return trip 4 years ago (dodge truck), the entire trip both ways made me wish I was riding. Now riding here in FL...north FL that is, is just enough to keep me interested but nothing like out west. I really have to think hard about my next duty station.

There will be a little green 250 here very soon for my wife to learn on. I do hope she really catches the bug so we can do some longer rides..you know once she outgrows that little Ninja and gets a real bike.

By the sounds of it you guys had a great time. I would really like to be able to bust out of here and be riding through some mountains.

SLOVFR  we were enjoying quite well, I'm very abservent (have to be, when riding in the streets & highways).
We took a lot of area in in a short time available to us.

We Rode & stopped a to take in the awsome colors of the Utah, Colorado, Wyoming landscape Not to mention my wife was shooting pics a lot while we were moving.

The fun factor of the conditions of the roads themselves was available & we took advantage of it.

Oh by the way, our 1st date was on a bike ride in SoCal on a VF500 around Palos Verdes 18 years ago & still going strong !
She just never rode more than 200 miles on the back B-4 so this ride was in the Wow factor.

KC-10, your right & she does, 98 percent dirt riding with an occasional juant on the street on the Little GT Hawk.
Now my daughter on the other hand rides Dirt & street & track (hate to say, but I do with pride, faster than me on the tracks ).

Oh & VFRstar, been there done that & a wow factor as well, but can be very LEOish @ times & prefer mid week to ride most area's in the state with less chances of tickets

Hopefully my next trip will be out west to meet up with some VFRworld & maybe RC51 members from Speedzilla forum to blast around Tahoe areas soon !

Now if I can just stop my Comp from blocking my pics, Kirk, I may need you to post them up for me again ?

Nice pics Taz. Sounds like you had a good time. My wife likes to ride, but 200 miles about does her in. When we get off the seat there are little bone imprints on both our seats from our butts.
