    and snow.

that aside i may be the only one, but i put my on a center stand most of the time. i feel it's safer if some one goes to sit on it or something...re-thinking that but my bike is almost always on it's stand. feels more stable on the stand.

Hm...you can spin the bike on the centerstand? Cool. I"ll have to try that out, then I wouldn't have back out the garage.

Yes, but the odd sunny day can and will soften the ice pretty quick. It's not easy picking up a bike that's frozen into the "ground".

It's also tricky riding with skates on...you have to poke the pegs between the boot and the blade.

I tried using hockey pucks for a while, but the neighborhood kids kept "borrowing" them for shinny.

Seriously, though, always, always, always park the bike in gear. I generally do a "no hands" engine off by putting the sidestand down while in gear, then clutch out, roll the bike downhill until the tranny stops it. That way it absolutely won't go forwards or backwards. Sideways is another story.

I lost mine when I put the 2Bros exhaust on - had to.
I do recall the center stand being exceptionally useful for keeping jerks off my tail at night - lightly drop the center onto the pavement and the shower of sparks will make anyone back off.

Not at all - this was taken in my garage while I was cleaning it. No drinking and riding for me.
    1. I am still new too riding and just wouldn't feel comfortable doing so.
    2. It would be a stupid thing to do. I like life at this point and want to keep living it.

    Cover 4 sale

    jayzonk,

I have an extra cover that I'm selling. Here's the ad on sfbay craig's list:

    OEM Honda Motorcycle Cover

It's a Honda cover, very heavy duty. If you're interested, let me know.

Like derstuka, I use two covers. A honda OEM and geza half cover. I use the geza for commuting since it is lighter and easier to use.

Here's the link to geza. If you buy through geza, call them instead of using their online order form. Tell them what you have (i.e VFR w/bags). There online ordering system isn't very good (sends an email to customer service).

I use my center stand while syphoning excess oil out of the case after a change and after the fairings are back on.
