Can someone please explain to me what "slip on" means as it relates to aftermarket exhaust for the 6th gen??

I have an 03 and I'd really like to get something different than stock, but i read things like "slip on" and get confused, cuz it's not like I can just take off the stock mufflers and "slip on" new ones... it's more of a "cat back" type exhaust that we need for our 02+ bikes.

Slip-on means it's the mid pipe and cans for your VFR and the majority of other bikes too. Full exhaust system is from the header back.
