After taking my 2001 VFR out of paid storage at the dealership, I noticed they forgot to replace a fairing bolt during the service I had them do over the winter. :chairshot: Of course, I've asked them to replace it, but it's been several months now and they say the the bolt is listed as 'back order' at Honda.

The bolt I'm looking for is #15 in the following schematic:

Anyone got one of these kicking around, or know where I can order one?

I have had good luck here /www.hondadirectline.com/ with some odd ball parts that I have needed. Good luck with the search.

Yes you just need to find a seller on the Internet that has their fiche online (looks like you already found one from the diagram posted), then you can see the part #, etc. Most of those fairing shoulder bolts are the same size. It is unlikely that any normal hardware store would have such a shoulder bolt, esp in a metric thread size.

I looked up #15 and it is BOLT, COWL SETTING 90112-MT4-000, these run around $1.75 each. I highly doubt this bolt would be on back order since it is very common on the viffers, they probably just never ordered it. I looked up at hondaparts-direct.com

anyone know what the size of the bolt is, the thread pitch would be helpful also.

I could measure it if desired.... my rough guess is the thread is M6x1.25 Shoulder bolts are hard to find at hardware stores with the desired shoulder size and length and the right thread size and spacing.

i can't exactly tell if they are the same from the fiche photo but you could pull one of your others and take it to the shop to compare with a 90106-KCZ-000.......if they have that in stock........
