what size are the holes in the license plate? I want to use some leds as the mounting bolts, and need to know what to buy. LED Indicator Lights is what I am getting. The ones I want says they fit in a 3/8" hole, but I'm not sure if thats small enough.
I just went out to the garage & measured. The actual holes stamped in the NJ plate are 1/4". The holes in the plate holder are right around 5/16". The bolts I used to secure my plate are 7/16" drive which is a 1/4" shaft. License plates are not made of very strong metal & the plate holder is plastic so it should be quite simple to enlarge either if needed. Looking at that light you have there, it should be very easy to make it work. KC-10 FE out... lane: :usa2:
