I was ready to install a new pair of Scorpion Oval Slipons, and usually I read both the vendor instructions and Honda Service manual. The only difference, the Honda manual, page 2-33 says that for muffler reinstall a new gasket onto the muffler joint is to be made. The Scorpion install makes no mention of a gasket, is this common for most slipons-no gasket or they assume you will install a gasket? My concern is exhaust gas leaking upward.

with the Leo Vince exhaust, you remove the old slip-ons and the gasket in the joint, leave the gasket with the old pipes, and install the new pipes WITHOUT the gasket.
My system works great without it.

    Good luck!

    Same here with the Remus.

I used a little muffler cement where the mid-pipe meets the cat and have had no issues.

Thanks, just wanted to see what others were doing since the Scorpion instructions didn't mention gaskets.
