She gets called all kind of sexy names when we are in the act.

My kids like the Interceptor. They are big Pirates of the Carribean fans(it is the name of a ship in the movie).

Yellow Beast is what I call her the most. Not feminine, but very fitting.

Probably get myself banned for this, but someone else has said it before:

If I were to name my '05, I'd call her Emma, after my ex. Because she's a whore who loves to get ridden hard, often, and by anyone...!

The inspiration for me comes from the way the bike and I feel when i'm riding. I have 3 bikes and they all have their own "personality". "86" 500-cranky little *itch", "83" 750 "bluebird", and the "96" is nameless thus far, I just got her on Sunday so i'm still getting to know her personality.
Good Luck with whatever you decide.:spankme:

I don’t have a name for my current RWB ’07. However, I have named my bikes in the past.

My Valkyrie is Bull Io. In Greek mythology, Io was a priestess of Hera who had an affair with Zeus. Either Hera turned her into a cow in Egypt to hide her from Zeus or Zeus did the same to hide her from Hera’s wrath. Bull Io is a reference to Samuel Beckett’s novel Murphy where the protagonist nicknames his landlady Bull Io since she is heifer-like, yet masculine (imagine a mustached lady sporting a stogy and a moo-moo). The Valkyries from Norrish mythology are winged goddesses who swoop down to the battlefield to take dead soldiers to the afterlife. To me this particular bike—already given a feminine name by the manufacturer—has more bull-like characteristics, so the juxtaposing masculine/feminine name just sticks.

One of my earlier rides, a red Super Magna was called Red Pony. Towards the end of his life, a reporter asked Sitting Bull how he became a brave warrior. Sitting Bull answered by stealing a fast pony. Sitting Bull took it as a given that all men are brave. The bravest of those are the ones seen rushing into battle first (the hole shot!). And those are the ones on the fast ponies. Now, I’m not saying I’m brave, but that bike was fast—I just held on tightly.

Instead of looking for a name, I’m sure I’ll read something in the future that will remind me of the exhilarating ride on the Interceptor and that name will stick in my head along with the interesting story.

I call my current bike A-Ko after the main character in the Anime Project A-Ko. She reminds me of A-Ko who appears to be an average school girl until all hell breaks loose and then you realize that her parents are super man and wonder woman.
I also have the name B-Ko picked out for the Interceptor that I plan to purchase in the near future. B-Ko is more sophisticated like the VFR.

I definitly name my bikes....My 1988 Honda Bros is called Russel after the Russ the guy I bought it off and my 2004 VFR800 is Charlotte, I think because she was black like a spider (Charlotte's Web the kids movie).

Although Charlotte isn't black anymore all her plastics are at the painters right now.....she is gonna be Honda Accord Coupe Balize Blue.....WoooHOOO Can't wait!!!:ncb:

I'm looking forward to updating my pictures when she's all done......Are they ever all done?!

Oh yeah my husband's bikes all had names too....1990 Yamaha FZR1000 Anna, 1993 Kawasaki ZX11D1 Amber (she was purple and burnt orange, factory colours) and now his current ride 2007 Kawasaki ZX14 Raya, named for the little girl we never had.....All boys at this house, except me!:vanity:

My VTR Firestorm is called Biggles 1 and is named after our Cocker Spaniel dog the VFR is Biggles Too. Since Biggles Too arrived in the garage Biggles1 doesn't get ridden very often cause Biggles Too is much more fun to ride.

Never actually named a bike. Although, I've always refered to them as "my b1tch". I know it's sounds bad, but I say it with affection...

Sharky. The dark grey and angularity of the bike prompted my wife to say it looked like a shark. I also jokingly call it the VFRWing due to the communication system, GPS and video camera mountings......

    My first VFR

It was not really a name, but a word I stuck on the bike in riding view. The word was SATORI.

Satori (悟 Korean oh; Japanese satori (from the verb satoru); Chinese: wù) is a Japanese Buddhist term for enlightenment. The word literally means "understanding". It is sometimes loosely used interchangeably with Kensho, but Kensho refers to the first perception of the Buddha-Nature or True-Nature, sometimes referred to as "awakening". Kensho is not a permanent state of enlightenment, but rather a clear glimpse of the true nature of existence. Satori on the other hand is used to refer to "deep" or lasting enlightenment. It is therefore customary to use the word satori, rather than kensho, when referring to the enlightened states of the Buddha and the Patriarchs.

It was explained to me at the art of total awareness. That in history, there were satori warriors that could catch arrows with their bare hands.

I tried to be satori when I rode her, and saw the word from the seated position to remind me of the state I should be in when riding. It became her name.

Now, 22 years later, I am older and wiser and need a name for the 86VFR700 I just picked up.

    Be aware, totally aware.

I have four bikes. To keep the confusion down, and being a boxing fan I do like George Foreman and just call them all Elvis.
