i have a 2004 that i had lowered but i had to have a lowering kit special made in london, england to lower it...i had to wait 6 weeks just to get it...it is extremely hard to find a good kit for these motorcycyles that make any difference on ride height...mine was dropped a lil over 2 inches so my kickstand would not work at all...so i had to take off the kickstand and i put heat on it with a torch until cherry red and bent it by hand to achieve the angle i wanted....and it also made the rear stand almost impossible to use i havent got around to modifying it though....i only use it if u park on soft ground lol..i dont remember the name of the company that made the kit but it cost me like 350 dollars sry i couldnt be more help...just wanted to let u know what ur in for

I just bought a used 2002, and a lot of little things add up to the suspicion that the bike has been lowered. Anybody know of a way to check to see if it has?

what's you inseam measurement and can you sit flat footed on the bike with the stock seat. I'm 30" and can sit with both heels flat.

well, if I have like 1" heels on the boots.... does that help?

    I can flat-foot it, but I have a 32" inseam, so I don't think that means much.

I have a 95 that has been lowered 1" and have bounced the center stand a few times - also now pretty much requires a one-handed dead lift of 520 lbs. to use it....My kit was already on the bike when I bought it and it has a max of about 1-1/2" so this would be about equivalent to your 35mm find - thought that I recalled that it was a Vortex kit, but could not say for sure...

Well, I just found a picture on the net of the stock dogbone, and it looks like about 5-7/8" end-to-end. That seems to match what mine is, so I guess it has not been lowered.
