Sorry if this is a repost, but my search skills aren't the greatest. What's the best source for braided steel brake lines for my VF750F? The front lines need replacement and I want to upgrade them. Does anyone make a kit or should I have them custom made someplace (where?)?

I seem like an add for Speigler, but they do a good job. Check Speigler Performance.

I see them all the time on Ebay for a good price for the set. Might as well replace the rear and clutch line while your at it...

Dude, if you are in the least bit handy, you can make your own. Buy the parts from AN PLUMBING.COM Earls performance products Hose ends Hose,Adapter fittings. You'll want -3 Speed Flex hose and Speed-Seal fittings. You can get stainless, regular steel, or anodized fittings, limited only by your wallet.

I have a 20 foot roll of hose waiting for fittings, I'm doing three separate brake lines and the clutch line.

If you want/need more info, just ask.

Hey, Seb, that site is pretty cool! Are any special tools necessary to cut the lines and attach the fittings?

Not really, no. I found that the method shown in their how-to assemble video about cutting the line works well(chisel), but a pair of cutting pliers or lineman's pliers work too. After that, just wrenches for the fittings. Get new crush washers from them too, they're cheap!

While I'm at it, has anyone tried the Spiegler "Speed Bleeder" screw with the built-in check valve? Looks like a time-saver.

    I'm sure you'll find it's quite simple.

What hose fittings are you using?

    Aluminum, SS, or Steel?

I have used the steel parts on a previous job, and have some aluminum pieces that I'm using for my oil mod.

I am planning to use the red and blue anodized fittings for sure on the clutch and brake lines.

Some people will tell you not to use the aluminum fittings on a street bike, but I don't have a problem running them. Haven't personally heard of one fail yet...
