Goodbye old friend

It was a sad day yesterday. Had to say goodbye to my best friend of 14 years.My female yellow lab had cancer and it got the better of her after a valiant fight.I know she is in a better place now,and we will meet again when it is my turn to cross the "Rainbow Bridge". She will be sadly missed.

How sad, sorry to hear of your loss, thats a tough one. but knowing she's in a better place is some what comforting.

 

I'm sorry for your loss flyfisher, I know that pain.

 

Alot of times dogs are better friends than poeple. Sad to say goodbye.

 

Take comfort in knowing that your dog was loved!
Many are not so lucky...

 

Hang in there flyfisher. Our dog is not a "pet", she's family. I'd be willing to be that in 14 years, there's not a bad thing you can say about that "dog".

Sorry to hear the bad news, it is always hard losing a loved one. At least you can take solace in the fact that she will no longer he hurting.

sorry to hear your loss i have two myself that are 13 and 14 years old. i know they aren't going to go much more than a couple of more years. i dread the day i have to go through that.

 

I had to deal with two in my adult life. My dad several. I feel for ya Bud.:grouphug: When the time is right, there will be another waiting just for you

 

I am so sorry to hear about your yellow lab, labs are such great dogs with their love for water, retrieving abilities and those soul searching eyes they have .I defiantly feel for you since I've had two Rainbow Bridge visitors myself in the last couple of years, I still get a little misty eyed just thinking about it

 

Sorry for your loss, flyfisher. I'm sure you will miss her a lot.

 

I also want to add my condolences to you on the loss of your friend. Hang in there, time will make it easier and the good memories will be more vivid then the sadness you are feeling righ tnow.

Always sad...

So unfair for our four legged companions to have such a short time with us. I miss my buddy all the time and it's been almost two years. He was like my firstborn, best friend and guardian all in one. Great Dane and German Shepard mix. Knew all his commands in French, English and sign. My thoughts go out to you because while the pain dulls, it never leaves. Chin up and go find yourself a new best buddy.
