so given that we're all coming in from different directions, and from the sounds of it, it's going to be a zoo there. Where can we meet up in Port Dover? A gaggle of VFR's might be a nice sight.

so where can we meet up in P.D.?

I'll be riding my trusty R/W/B '86 sans lower fairings, nothing special, but look for JoeFoe's well-pimped and highly accessorised Red '97. Worth seeing!

Well, I almost made it to Port Dover today. In Stoney Creek, I had the rear tire collapse on me while traveling on the highway. managed to edge over to the left shoulder, where I waited an hour for a truck. Not fun. Turned out to be a nail. Good thing it wasn't my front tire. Spent the day at Sturgess Cycle. Helpful people. The OPP was really helpful too. Hopefully will meet up with you next time. I heard it was a zoo.

    NO rain????

The sudden, dramatic, and violent rain started around 7:30 !!

I saw lots of riders leaving town shirtless, in shorts and sandals about a half hour before.....wonder how they enjoyed their ride home???

The EVENT was smaller than last July's with VERY few special, unusual or unique bikes.....

Group deal for track day with instruction

I am organizing a motorcycle track day for clients and friends (and friends of friends) of my company. It will be at the Shannonville long track on Monday, June 23. As an official event of Pro 6 Cycle, we'll be taken care of by Turn2/Adrenalin rentals.

Because I am putting a group together, I have negotiated special pricing with Turn 2 for their Advanced Riding Course (ARC). The package includes rental of a Suzuki Gixxer 600 or SV600, full leathers, expert instruction and of course, the track fee.

Go to The Essential Message: Events and scroll down to the track day event detail. Just let me know if you want to be part of the group.

Sorry to hear of your misfortune. Good thing it worked out okay, and no injury to you or the VFR.

The most dangerous part was waiting on the left shoulder, watching for swerving cars. It's all cool though.

Friday July 4 Northern Run anyone?

I am thinking of doing a day trip from Toronto up to Wasaga Beach or North of Bancroft. It would be a reasonably full day. Let me know if you are interested and where you'd be coming from so we can set up a reasonable meeting place.

So....are we going to have a local VFR event any time soon? I can show some good roads if it is going to be a ride event around Northwest Pa (hour south of Buffalo) Or we can pick a central place to just kick tires for the first event.......LETS do it though asap.:strong:

From Toronto, riding to PA would be about 3 hrs. If you include riding time while there, it would probably require an overnight stay in the area. hmmmm.

I'm game for a day ride or over night or kick tires event. I just don't like setting up all the details. FYI I have guys come down from TO that ride the area's I mentioned and go home the same day to let you know it's possible or done many times all ready. But that's up to you. With what seems like little real interest in most of us wanting to attend a ride some one please pick a date asap and central location (possibly some place USA or Ca, Niagara Falls..?) to first kick our tires then we can possibly plan a ride then.

I'm up for it too, but if you leave it to me to set up the details, it'll be a last minute thing... Just getting together to kick tires, meet and plan a longer trip is a great idea. How about Niagara on the Lake?

:hitit:Niagara on the Lake sounds good to me. Do you have a certain place in mind? We had a VFR event years ago that was @ or near Niagara on the Lake that allowed us to eat drink and be merry and google at our bikes at the same time. I think it may have been Port Dalhousie.

OK, so how about this. Tomorrow (Saturday -- see, I told you I make good last minute plans, grin) lunch in Hess Village, Hamilton. It's a bit further for you than Port Dalhousie but it's a fun spot with uh, nice scenery.

Hess St, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada - Google Maps

On the Southwest corner of Hess and George, there's a restaurant with a big patio. I think (*think*) we could park the bikes on George next to the patio.

I am heading out for a ride now and will return around 8 pm. If anyone is interested and can make lunch tomorrow, please post so I know how big a table to get...
