Two Bros. Exhaust vs. Staintune

I recently purchased a 2002 VFR, and am thinking of changing the exhaust. I am thinking of the Staintune, or the Two Brothers. The extra storage would be nice on the Two Bros., but my question is "which one has the best sound and performance?" I have not been able to hear either one of them. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Mitch

There are a lot of VTEC owners there and I think several of them have the Staintunes and love them.

For quality of fit and finish the Staintune has no match.  Other big advantage is that it never needs repacking and has no spring loaded connections to break or lose. No tacky logos on the cans either.

I ordered my 2bros without the tacky logo, lokks much better. However, what you say about the repacking is quite true. The 2bros has 18K miles on it and it is getting a wee bit loud for my neighbors' taste

I have been toying with the idea of a Staintune for my 01 VFR. They have a nice throaty raspy sound. Also, they have a "spud" that can be easily installed in the end of the pipe to act as a silencer for regular riding and then easily comes out for the fun riding :)

    Adios,

I just mounted a Staintune on a 1999 VFR800---Solid motorcycle sound. I wanted something a little more powerful than stock, yet not as loud as TBR.

The Staintune was perfect sound, perfect fit, perfect look. Bravo

PS I owned a 929RR with TBR before, so i know both pipes. TBR is great sound, but was too loud for my liking. I have not tried the Staintune, without the baffle, but am sure it will scream if I desire. So--Staintune 2 sounds in one.... ::) or TBR -you bought that's it. thanks Jim R.

I ride without the baffles on my Staintunes and I do not believe they are too loud. I live in a subdivision with a Nazi HOA, and no one has complained yet.

IMHO, I think that riding with the baffles in would be too quiet and not have the proper "growl".
