I have the Ballistic 5.0 for cold weather and the AGV Sportrider perfed leather for summer. I also have a pair of Diamond Gusset's Defender jeans, but I look like a farmer when I wear them. I should have gotten the Shift Toque jeans - way cooler.

    Thanks to ZonaMan

Thanks for the reply on the "Diamond Gusset Defender Jeans". Wouldn''t want to look like a "farmer" boy. Bought a set of Joe Rocket pants instead. Forgot what #.
I believe their Joe Rocket Phoenix 2.0 textile pant.
Now you are going to need to change your Personal Info to Thanked 1 time so far.

Just an FYI, if you got the Joe Rocket ballistic pant, they are not waterproof. They claim they are, but I have them and they are not, nice pants other than that.

Was helpin a buddy find some riding pants the other day. Two pairs of joe rockets right off the rack had broken zippers (not to mention I know of a few members here with broken JR zippers). I've got older Joe Rocket stuff, and the zippers are way beefier. Not sure why they're skimping now.

He ended up with some Icon riding paints. Good construction, very low-key looking.

I have JR Ballistic (5.0 - I think). I am always overheating even at 60F. As the liner sticks to you if you sweat - I wear light pants under. Something with better venting would be nice. You can open the side zipper to let air in but then you are compromising protection.

I haven't found textile pants that are more comfortable than Cortech DSX Jeans (leather lined impact zones). I'd love to, because I'm all about ATGATT, but I've had several pairs that are just too bulky and annoying while riding. I'm also 6'3", so I'm probably forced into a size up from what I might otherwise take.

I've had: FirstGear HT-one textile and mess (36 Tall textile and 38 Tall Mesh), and a set of Hein Gericke pants that I can't remember the name of.

My Fieldsheer Titanium Air pants are mighty comfy and they are very cool in the summer. They also have a waterproof zip out liner for colder weather.

    Regards,
    Rollin
