Hi everybody, I have just joined your club, with a little help from your administration. I live across the pond in the UK. I have been motorcycling continiously for 45 years, I have owned approx 35 bikes alltogether, my present bike is a 2004 VFR VTEC ABS, it's probably the best bike I have owned to date. I have it fitted with the following extras - Sergeant seat, Maxton suspension and MRA screen otherwise the bike is standard. My wife has also ridden for 40 years and at present rides a Triumph Bonneville. We have both done a lot of off road riding, we ride all year, winter included and allthough we are both not spring chickens, we can still manage 430 miles in a day. We have had four holidays in America, unfortunatley not on our bikes they were coach holidays, but we enjoyed your lovely country very much. I hope to be able to contribute to your forum in the future. Safe riding all George
Welcome. My ancestors are English but I never get Christmas cards. What have you done to your suspension? Do you have a website? KC-10 FE out... lane: :usa2:
Welcome, Plasma. You are my new idol. I want to be riding 400+ miles in a day when I am your age (sooner than later ).
Thanks for the welcome guys. With regards to the question asked by KC-10FE about my suspension mod, it was done by a UK company called MAXTONS (perhaps you have heard of them) they are considered to be the top company in the UK concerning anything to do with suspension, for example they look after most of the race teams in the UK. They also run a personal taylor made service, they need to know your weight in your riding gear and the type of riding that you do, and from these facts they build you a suspension unit especially to suit you, it's completley hand made, and they make everything on site bar the spring, although this service doesn't come cheap it makes a huge difference to how the bike handles.
