Just registered to find out more about the VFR before I take the plunge.

I'm looking at getting a used 2002 to 2006 as a second bike.
My regular ride is a Benelli TNT and it is in the shop waiting on a new water pump and since I'm not willing to believe that it will only take 2 weeks I decided I need a second bike.
I took one for a test ride 2 years ago at a Honda test ride day and I was impressed. I was a little disappointed in the V-Tec as I was expecting it to be more noticable. Like the V-boost on my Vmax but none the less it is a fun ride.

This forum has looks of good reading on it. Thanks

And I hope you don't mind if I post the usual required number of stupid newbie questions but I will search first. Honest.

    Thanks for the great site.

    Gary

You wanted the VTEC to be MORE noticeable? That's the first time I've heard that. Honda took great pains to make it Less.

    Oh well. Welcome aboard.

Strickly based on reputation I was expecting it to be more noticable, kind of like the kick you get when the V-boost comes on the Vmax.
If the Italian mistress is going to be tempermental I want something fun and reliable in the garage.

Oh great now I have to figure out how to upload images.:ncb:

Since I'm buying used I'm going to have to go with whatever colour I can find.
... and then paint it yellow.

TNT looks like this. It's an awesome bike but it's Italian. I need a Honda for when the "Nelli" is down.

I'm planning on taking the VFR to a couple of track days as I am curious to see how it makes out. Anyone else tracked their VFR?

Man, that bike sure is pretty. I love the red frame work. It needs a SSSA however.

Ya I must admit I love the looks of a SSSA with an underseat exhaust.

Used to have a BMW R1100S same set up

I just tapped into the video and audio file of the aftermarket pipes.

Wow, the Leo's really sound nice.

I have a tendency to not leave anything stock.

Sold the SuperMoto the day before the TNT when in the shop.
Should have kept it. At least I would still have a ride.

The old Zed was the scariest thing on two wheels. Fully built dragbike motor by APE in a spagetti frame.

I look at that Benelli and the only word that comes to mind is wow...
I think I'd be afraid to ride it. Might hit a bug.
