Not sure if it would be the same, but this is from the sab/mag faq (I used to own an 86 vf700 magna and the cap worked fine).

Pep Boys, the Stant "11227" Swiv-el (R) Radiator Cap (4.99 or so). Reportedly fits perfectly.

    Edit:
Forgot to mention, iirc it's a good idea to replace the overflow hose at the same time, if for some reason the seal's no good air will leak back into the system everytime the bike cools down.

Sure. Don't forget to bleed that sucker good too.
No idea on the hose, sold that bike last year. I think I just took off the old one and walked to the auto parts store, it should be one of the sizes they stock at a place like napa.

Just noticed you're from Denver, what part?
I grew up in a house around Edgewater

I live in cap hill right now .. tho thinking of moving up north ( like longmont)

ok after a bit of research and checking with a micrometer.

The Stant 11233 fits the VFR 16lbs so on and so on

I went with the 11333 which has the " lev-R-Vent for two reasons
    1. it just kinda looked trick
    2. the space between the fairing and the radiator is small and the lever style had smaller handles making it easier to fit on my bike.

    hi,
i replaced my vfr radiator cap with a nissan radiator cap. I don'know which nissan but you have ti neasure only the diameter. I added another rubber gasket. It has on oval shape (more practical ). Pressure value is ok.

Nice, lived off 14th for a bit too. Not the best neighborhood, but always exciting :stripper:

Good looking out speed, I used the one without the lever and never had a problem.

So I take it the cap worked?

    yeah it seems to .......

tho I need to figure out why two up riding causes it to spit antifreeze out .

just running around the block a few times will cause it to spit up . ( bikes not plated yet so I've not taken out on the street streets ... )

Have to do it in late july tho .. I leave for a 6 week tour on thursday !
