I just finished installing a Throttlemeister device. I spend some time on the interstate getting to the roads I like to ride on and figured this would reduce some fatigue on these stretches. Seems like a very high quality product. I would be interested in any feedback from those who have had one for a while.

Put one on mine last night. I think I'll like it OK once I get my hands to work properly so I can engage it. Seems to take a little bit of dexterity I haven't developed yet ;)

I have had one on mine since last summer and really have only used it a few times just to give the wrist a rest on some longer highway rides.

Quality is top notch, works well.

I've used one for many, many miles now. This is the second bike I've had one on.

Best thing to do is set the cruise and put your hands on the tank/tank bag. This will really give you a much needed break by sitting straight up and down. I can't count how many miles I've ridden this way. Depending on your confidence/skill level, you can steer the bike completely with your legs, feet and slight upper body lean.

With the VFR, sometimes it's better to stay in 5th gear due to the overdrive nature of 6th gear. Basically anything below 70 I'll stay in 5th.

Have fun and practice situations where you have to turn it off quickly whether it be for traffic, cops, roadkill or whatever. If you get it right, you can transition directly from turning the cruise off to applying front brake smoothly.

Did about 175 miles today and used the Throttlemeister quite a few times. Still having difficulty turning it while holding the throttle steady, but I'll get it. I set it for moderate friction and I could rest my hand on top and roll the throttle slightly when needed using just the palm of my hand. I think this is one of the things it would be hard to do without once you get use to them. I had a Vista Cruise and never could get it to work reliably. This one works great.

    Throttlemeister road test

I used my Throttlemeister for the first time today on a 350 mile ride. About 120 miles of the ride were on Interstate 80 with the balance of the ride on Highway 1 and other beautiful twisty roads. The device is a definite fatigue saver. I can't imagine riding without it. Sometimes just using it for a minute or so was all it took to allow the hand and arm a needed rest. I had to adjust it once because vibration allowed the throttle to slowly close. Works good now.
