fast blinking blinker, 1st gen!

So the left blinkers of my 1986 vfr700f are blinking very fast. What would make it do that? Not enough resistance in the wire? Or too much? Or does it have something to do with the flashing element wearing out? (Bimetallic strip?) Thanks

 

it could be one of your bulbs out, or going out. i would check that first

 

USE a green scotchbright pad to scuff up the bulb contacts and the socket contacts....
also clean up the contacts where the signal wires plug into the main wires

 

I once exprienced this. 1 one of the wires to the blinker was disconnected or loose.

 

Fast blinking=too much resistance.
