This is simple and this post may be a wast of space but I thought I would share it anyway. I spent 10 bucks in the Home depot bolt section and it works great. The rubber tank mount dampens vibration and your cam wont vibrate.

    You Will need:

    1 - peice of 1/4"-20 X 12 treaded rod

    2 - treaded rod couplers.

1 - 2" metric Bolt (take your tank bolt with you  i cant remember the size)

1 - metric nut that fits the bolt.

    1 - 1/4" fender washer.

    1 - 1/4"-20 wingnut.

Now thread the metric nut on your metric bolt and thread your metric bolt about a third of the way into the 1/4" -20 coupler. :bs: This kind of sucks cause the treads dont match but it will work. Then tighten the nut tight against the coupler. this locks the 2 together. Cut the Hex head off the nut and file the end so it will easily tread into tank bolt hole again.

Next: take the washer off of the original tank bolt and place it on the metric bolt conglomeration you just made and replace the original tank .

Now: Take your peice of threaded rod and screw the other 2 couplers on each end. Get your camera and find where it will work best. You will need to cut and bend the threaded rod to the correct position.

WARNING :soapbox: Take the rod off the bike to bend it. you don't want to mess anything up.

The coupler and big washer tightens up against your camera to hold it in place after the treaded rod id theaded into the camera and the lower coupler threads against the other coupler.

The rest is self explainatory. Good luck . :party2:

How stable will that hold the camera when you really want to "get jiggy with it" through some high speed twisties, or while doing some wheelies?

I have the tank mount style from ebay and it's a lost cause, when my rpms go above 6k it's all a blur...

I like using a tank bag so I didn't think the tank mount would work. this works really well becaus it mounts right on the rubber grommet on your tank. Here are a couple of pics on the bike but they suck cause I had to take them with my camera phone.

It doesnt shake because it is mounted on on the rubber tank mount. I have video, as soon as I can figure out how to put it on here I will post it.
