    Hello All,
Just got my 2002 VFR800 out of the shop and it looks super (repaint to match 25th anniversary edition, pics to follow). The thing is I cannot locate the air temperature sensor! It is not where it said it should be in the shop manual and the local Honda guys had no clue. I took the thing apart and do not recall ever seeing it where it's suppsoed to be. Any clues??
    Thanks

On the bottom of the nose cowl, in the center, between the headlights.

Thanks but nothing there. I took the entire thing apart and can't seem to find it or even the hole it is supposed to fit into!! I guess I'll take the headlights out to see if it got buried somewhere, but this really has me thinking senility has set in BIG TIME !!
    Thanks

    Guys,
Mine is a 2002 and trust me, it ain't there where the pic for the 2007 shows it to be. The "book" shows it to be inside the right upper cowl. Not there either !
I'll try and post the fotos tomorrow. Hell, I can tell if its hot or cold outside, but I just like everything to work like its supposed to. ESPESPECIALY when it did BEFORE I took it apart to get it painted !!! And I had zero parts left over when I put it back together. Go Figure.

    Viker1,
I don't know what book your using but Page 2-13 of the Honda Service Manual for the 2002 VFR shows the air temp sensor right where everybody has been telling you it is.

The Hondda service manual from the Honda dealer in Stockton, CA. as well as my own copy sow it to be located at the inside of the upper right cowl. I think it was around 2-12 , but when I get to my hanger, I will get it for sure.

    TO ALL MY NEW FRIENDS
MEA CULPA MEA CULPA MEA CULPA.
Seems the over eager body man taped over the air sensor hole RIGHT WHERE EVERYONE SAID IT WAS and when it got painted, it blended right into the scheme. I had to run my hands over it to feel the depression. Yanked the tape off and whattayaknow!! A HOLE AND A PLACE FOR A SCREW.
Now if they can only locate what they did with it!!
I tried posting the pics but it keeps coming up some kind of jpeg error
    Anyone know the cure??
    thanks again people.

Make sure that the picture is not over 195.3KB, and I believe the size limit is 640x640. You can hot link it from another photo website as well by using the yellow stamp looking button above ^^^.

Here is some more info for you as well.

Are you clicking on the "manage attachments" button? Do you want to load them directly from your PC, or do you want to hot link them from a URL address? Do you have them on photobucket, or the like? If so, we can hotlink them.

If you are uploading them from your PC, try uploading one picture at a time. What I mean is, don't hit the browser button and select more than one picture (if it will let you) and upload. Make sure they are not over the size limits.
