Anyone pull their center stand yet? Need some advice... I started to pull the center stand off my 02 and couldn't budge the right-side bolt, especially with the header in the way, and the left-side turns very, very hard... I made about one full turn out, then tightened it up again cause it was barely moving. Is there a trick to this? ??? thanks...

I not sure about an 02.  However, on my 2000 VFR I had to pull the header to get one bolt out.  Also, Honda uses a substance on the bolts to make sure the bolts don't loosen up.  I think it is called Honda Lock? It is the same as Lock Tite(?).   At first I thought I was going to snap the bolts off.   The bolts never turned easily. It was hard to turn them even after they were initially broken free. With most bolts you can break them free with a wrench and then remove them with your hand. Because of the Honda Lock the bolts never turned easily until they were ready to fall out. Now that I have removd the center stand once I have no concern about doing it again.  The first time was no fun.  On the 2000, I don't see how you can remove one of the bolts without removing the header.

You may be right about the header...there's about 1/4 inch clearance between the right-side bolt and the header, so I was kind of hoping there wasn't much thread in there, but I'm sure that's unrealistic. The lock-tite explains why the other side felt like it would break off. :-/ Thanks very much!

I removed the center stand on my 2002. I had to remove the headers (to lower the converter). I actually (unintentionally of course) snapped the rear bolt. I got the center stand off, but it'll be a bitch to get back on!!

Yep, I just about poked a hole in the header trying to get the right side bolt out on my '99.
I was able to get it out w/o removing the header (eventually), by wiggling it around a bit, but getting it back on would be a freakin' nightmare I'm sure. :p
