If anyone is considering the choice between a 2018 VFR800F and the 2018 VFR800X you might want to note that a very positive review of the 2018 Crossrunner 800 has just appeared on YouTube by the Missenden Flyer (who has done a lot of in depth bike reviews over here in Britain).

Filmed around Hillingdon and North West London and I suspect I am not the only one on here who recognises most of the roads (Pete!).

    Enjoy

I would have considered a smaller more adv oriented offering from Honda, but this xrunner is too big & the 230L or whatever is just too small. The 500x is cool, but just too little and underpowered. I wouldn't even want to take it (the xrunner) off the road anymore than I would a big GS. I think my expectations for ADV vs what's being put out there are different.

I'm thinking more like that KTM 790 concept bike is in my future if it is decent. I'd consider the yamaha T7 if it's cheap enough that I can upgrade it to handle my size.
