    Good day all

I've been searching on and off for a couple days and can't seem to find a solida answer to two questions:

    Can you Pair/Snorkel removal on a 2014+ 8th Gen VFR800?

If so, are there any instructions?

    Thanks for the help.

I would stay away from doing it; it wouldn't improve your bike. Honda's engineers know far better than any of us--put together.

+1 on leaving it alone, airbox design is optimal for air flow to intake throats.

I did all three well over a year ago - no notable performance increase nor decrease, although the intake noise is a bit louder after the airbox mods. I did Pair removal when I checked the valves since I had the valve covers off anyway. The airbox and valve covers are the same as a sixth gen, so any of those tutorials would apply.

Honda's engineers know far better than any of us on how to keep induction noise below a certain db, up to a certain rpm, while still allowing the airbox to flow well at higher RPMs, where db restrictions are not an issue.

I guess that's that then. I'll leave it alone! Thanks

You can pull it out, it's just for noise regulations and emissions. It won't make much difference either way.

I am installing a PCV and Auto tuner, in order to make the wide band O2 sensor work properly you have to disable the pair valve. According to the service manual the solenoid valve is normally open. See diagram on pg (7-22) blocking the intake port (A) with a rubber cap would allow the valve to cycle without sending air into the exhaust and confusing the Wideband O2 sensor.

As far as the snorkel/flapper valve is concerned I would agree with leaving it alone for now. Perhaps after running the PCV and auto tuner for awhile I may F%&K with the intake a little to see if there is any changes if I do I will let you all know what happens.
