Linking to the guys month long tour, he's 25. By adding and subtracting on my abacus if he is ten years older than you, that make you ahhh lets see, (carry the two and add three than round off to the nearest whole number) that make you +/- being Jailbait..

Wow great song! The Cure rock! Three Imaginary Boys is a good album. Are you into those guys? I used to be right into the Punk Rock scene. Back in the late 70's, early 80's. I think AM is still a punk!

Y'all are goin' to the jail...

In muh mind...10 more years of life means he's got 10 more years to live that I already have.

Wish I were still Jailbait...I'd have 10 more years to redo. Would have ridden world by now. <3 <3

The Cure, heck yes!

Glenny ... I'm a proud punk for sure.

But I met a hard core one up in Vegreville one summer. Crazy kid even went lane splitting in CA with his Viffer on Steroids. What was his name... ? I do remember he was the first person I ever met who loves Moby as I do.

Love Everloving! And of course Ambient...one of the best ambient albums of all time...used one of the greatest repetitive electronica songs of all time on one of my first vids on the 6th gen (too much wind noise, had to use music)...

Old school Moby FTW!

BTW, ignore the shitty condition of the road. That was in 2010...between 2012 and 2015, they paved the entire thing. It is truly spectacular now.

Heck yes! Amazing video and of course, music!

I love the placement of your Contour! Seemed I was in a side car taking in all the views.

This is exactly what I have in mind for taking video of roads I want to remember.

How do you like the Contour? Pros? Consider? Price?

I saw an ad on Facebook for a camera that keeps the video level, even when the bike leans.

The Contour is a relic now. I've had a GoPro for awhile now. I've also done some with it mounted behind the windscreen....

I've found over the years that the most difficult part about filming a ride, is going through all the footage and trying put something together that's not too long.
If you really are planning on getting a camera, you might as well stick with the GoPro. The latest versions are pretty good, and quite a jump from my Hero3.

They had an offer similar to the Skully helmet where early adopters could help fund them and get a discount but after the Skully debacle, I opted to wait until they were actually shipping! They're on my radar though.

Roger that. I have seen other products where the pre price makes you go for it.

There's a great book by a local rider, that has almost all of them... The Complete Guide to Motorcycling Colorado by Steve Farson. A must have for any serious rider living here.

I'm working on writing this up for other social media and came across this in Post #13...it cracked muh shizzz up:

I knew I'd run in to cold weather, so I packed layers, heated vest zoom-zoom gave me, and heated pants and jacket a friend loaned me. I also put on the armor of grit knowing I'd be in some crazy temps for extended periods of time.

Maybe that's muh problem: I jinxies muself?
I need to watch that.

Post-Trip Update:

I returned from the trip in time to greet students. I celebrated my birthday with them. They all wanted to give me coats as a gift to warm me up.
COATS.jpg

I had fun on my brithday weekend and kicked my boots up twice.
Birthday.jpg
Boots.jpg

I warmed up and enjoyed some January riding.
JanRIDE.jpg

And another day of it.
Jan11.jpg

Enjoyed a beautiful Kansas sunset with moto.
JanSUNset.jpg

Then exactly 7 days after returning, I started feeling like I was getting sick.
I'm sure my immune system was compromised after the night's ride back in freezing temps.
Having to deal with some hypothermia to recover from (seemed it took days to warm up) and my body being stressed out with burns, as well as being back in the cesspool of germs I call school, didn't help any.

Sure enough I got some respiratory infection on January 11 and set in full swing by January 13. FRIDAY 13th. I was already dreading this day:
AICE.jpg

Had crazy fevers, dreams, and even sleeptography (I apparently took 80 million photos of my leg against my color-changing night light), fell, puke, battled extremely low blood pressure.
ALEG.jpg

But I'm stubborn. I don't go to docs when I'm sick, even if I get super bad. Usually people have to force me to go. Or come get me and put me in their car. That does happen lolzzz. Because of that, recovery always takes a longer time.

Curry, cold meds cocktails, booze, and books helped me.
BAILEYS.jpg

I'm just starting to get my energy back and having fun planning my next excursions.
CANA.jpg

I was going to wash moto today, but rain came in. Another day.
There is still white sand all over it.
ASAND.jpg

I'm sure Long still has a sandy vajayjay like muh moto. I wonder how his recovery is coming along....?

He'll at least have until May until I break him again.

Until then...ride on...
