I decided to rebuild my front brake calipers and MC today. got everything apart, cleaned, and replaced all the seals. I also put on speed bleeders. Got everything put back together but now it seems like whatever i do i cant get the air out. Ive tried the speed bleeder (open valves, pump lever until no more air comes out bleed vales) and the pump method (mity vac clone from harbor freight) a few times.

I dont know what else to do :frown:

Make sure your handle bars are tilted to the left. Which will get the master cylinder angled down ward a little and still keep it the highest. Take a look at the brake line junction at the MC. It may be pointed up some. Loosen the MC enough to to rotate it forward. This should point the brake line junction downward.

What happens is air will get trapped at the junction because it normally is pointed upward. It's almost impossible to get it our from there. Then all you really have to do is pump the mc. It is self bleeding. You'll see bubbles come in to the reservoir thru a small bleed hole in about the center.

You did make sure all the junctions are nice and tight, right?

a little mc shake did the trick.

now ive got much more lever movement, no problem stopping though. i guess this is how its supposed to feel, the pistons and mc were really dirty.
