Has anyone actually worn out a VFR? I read the Gen 5 worn out motor thread and have heard of the messenger in England who put 400k on a fourth Gen. I'd like to know if anyone has personal experience with a VFR that had been used to the point of no return.

Never heard of a VFR being ridden to death, but there was that one Air Force Pilot that put 100k on his YZF R1, and it was still going strong without a valve adjustment to that point. Pretty hardcore:crazy:

I'm with you Joey_Dude. My 4th Gen has 58k and is running strong. I'm planning on running it into the ground, just wondering how long that might take.

ha ha, 15dollar, how long your bike lasts depends on how well you take care of it. I did a search in this forum and found these threads:

    A non-vfr world link: http://homepages.ed.ac.uk/trs/VFR.html

I met a guy with a 5th gen like me and he had 79K on it still going strong. VFRs are truly a rare breed considering most other sportbikes are lucky if they can make it to 50K.
