Your means to getting your VFR to the shop or track. or maybe to that special destination. I'll start I really want to see a vfr in the back of Ducmans truck, which BTW is what had me start this thread.
I don't ever take my bikes to a shop ... I have everything I need to work on it in my man cave. ... and if I have to trailer it on a trip, then I don't deserve to ride it. That said ... I have an old '02 Toyota Highlander Limited if I need it.
This was about a week after I got it. Put colour matched glass running boards on it about a week after I got it. Still is close to the same shape though, except the paint is getting tired being 13 years old. AND IT IS A BADDASS DURAMAX!
I can attest to the fact that it's in amazing shape. The inside and outside of the truck is cleaner than almost all the vehicles I repair on a daily basis.
What year is yours Jay? Are you having any problems with the chrome side moldings and chrome grill starting to bubble on yours? Mine is. When and if I get mine painted, I will order new moldings and a new grill. The badging too cause it fades being out in the sun. I guess I am anal. When I painted my last truck, '92 black Jimmy, I replaced the badging on that too. Then gave it to my son in 2003 when I bought the truck. Jimmy then went to shit.
This be the wee beast in the family garage. Bike hasn't spent any time on the back of the truck, although a friends bike has, or ummmm, part of it has. LOL. A broken exhaust stud required a trip to the shop to have the stud extracted.
Picked it up in November last year. Angie had been driving the old Tahoe for 11 years and my parents were looking at getting something with 4wd to get in and out of their place during the winter. Since they are on a fixed income and couldn't really afford to buy another vehicle we gave them them Angie's Tahoe and we went looking for a truck. We also thought about getting some dirt bikes so that we could do some dirt riding as a family and since we have nowhere to store a trailer, Angie had decided she wanted to get a truck. The local Chrysler dealer that I do a lot of work for made us an offer on a truck I could NOT refuse.
Hey. I gotta talk to your mom and dad. I'm on fixed income and I still get things for my kids, not visa vers. Something is cockeyed here.
My bikes get ridden to all destinations rain hail or shine no need for any transportation vehicles unless it breaks down but that is why I ride Japanese made bikes .........big miles very few breakdowns Keep up the pro-active not reactive maintenance and the problems are few
I wonder who will be first to hook one of those camper rigs to their bike? Taking the wife, kids, dogs, cats and a bigscreen TV would no longer be problematic.
Randy its all still very good, front grill doesn't have that bubbling chrome, I've seen this on other vehicles, luckily I don't have that, other than a lot of what seems to be gravel chips around the front lip of the hood / bonnet. The side pieces are actually Stainless so that will never happen here. It's an 06 186K runs like a beast. I keep looking at newer trucks, but they don't have what this one does for the price, then find out the MAX package is somewhat rare, so think I'll hang on to it.
