'85 VF500F missing part on back? recently bought this bike 85 VF500F, where the license plate would mount there is something missing. Two parts of the metal tube frame and part of the fender looks like someone cut it off. Anyone know what stock item i need to replace to make this functional again? Another question: it needs a right mirror. are there any other year/models which are compatible so I if need to buy left and right mirrors I'm good? It will help broaden my search on ebay too.
well not completely familiar with this particular bike, but it looks like you are going to need the whole rear subframe, and some mirrors will work as long as the mounting holes line up, and you might need a spacer or something like that, get more pics of the rear, with the seat off, and from different angles, that would help a little. later
found some items on ebay: inner fender,outer licence plate mount, tail piece and grab bars......still looking for a right mirror and need a windshield. Oh yeah: I need to get it running too.
