REPSOL is a huge Spanish oil and gas company...lots of activity in Spain and Argentina. They are the main sponsor of Repsol Honda.

But MY question is about "House". I have never seen it (i know the basic premise) but heard that the main character has some ties to motorcycling. What is the deal? And I know he uses a cane...related?

House is awesome. The guy is sarcastic as hell. Funny too. Been on for years and just saw my first episode a few weeks ago and have been hooked since. The whole family's hooked on the show. Ya, saw one the other day where he bought a Honda Repsol. I think his leg injury is an old war wound (1st Gulf War)?? But you can still catch him riding his Repsol occasionally.

He bought the bike in an episode when he was going through a life crisis about his leg and his ex wife. He could get the leg fixed but leaves it so he can continue his addition to pain killers. GREAT show! In real life he is a complete bike nut.

(But seriously, thanks...that helps...I had wondered what the bike connection was.)

Yeah it was! You're welcome. I've become a pack rat in my old age and sometimes it pays off.

House rides a Honda CBR1000RR Repsol Edition with a cane holder attached to the passenger foot peg. He also slings his cane across his back tucked behind his knapsack. He first looks/tests rides an Aprilia in an earlier episode. He buys the Honda for $5000 after the previous owner lays it down going into a turn too hot. His right leg is injured so he can ride and shift w/o a problem. House's limp is caused by a muscle infarction in his right thigh, which took three days to diagnose. The actor Hugh Laurie owns an all-black Triumph Bonneville, a replica of the '60s British model and he has always been an avid motorcyclist. He's ridden since he was 18. He says he enjoys the anonymity the motorcycle helmet gives him. He's also an accomplished musican, rower, and writer.

    Yep, I like the show:)

Is there a "Pedrosa sux" thread anywhere? My wife and I started watching House recently, it is addicting. Great to hear that Hugh is an avid motor bike fan.

I remember reading somewhere that the producers of House expressed concern for his safety because he rode his bike to work all the time. He responded with, "No one is more interested in not falling off than me".

I wonder if he'll ditch the Respol Honda now that "the troll" is the only known rider left. Maybe he'll get a Ducati next season! :thumb:

As for a pedrosa haters thread, please feel free to hate on the little troll whenever you post to this site. I have been and always will be a member of the Pedrosa Haters Club of the Universe. We have thousands of members who would like nothin more than see yet another pedrosa crash picture! :thumb:
