I'm moving away from the deserts of NM on three weeks for the Sea-Tac area of Washington, and I'm almost due for a new set of tires as well. What do you guys recommend for a good all around wet tire. I've been looking at the Michelin pilot road2ct. I'm currently running pilot roads, but I haven't had many wet rides. It's hard to judge tire performance around these parts anyhow. This area has some of the worst roads I have ever seen. Tar snakes and loose gravel everywhere.
I'm running the road pilot 2 right now and am about 150 miles north of where you are going. Same weather. I commute year round and have ridden in the rain a few times now on them and I am happy with them so far. I probably have about 5,000 miles on these ones since getting them at the beginning of summer.
Good to know. I commute daily on the viffer right now and I was unsure if I could continue up there due to the weather. Thanks Randy.
I have the Pilot Road 2CT's and love there wet performance. I've ridden with them on the highway when it was raining hard enough that the cager's were pulling over without a problem.
Thanks guys, that's what I was hoping to hear. I talked to a couple of friends from back in the south east and they swear by the pilot road 2s. It just always nice to hear it from other people before you fork out out the $$.
I ride year round, rain or shine, and have really gotten to like the wet perfomance of the Metzler M3 tires. They also wear like iron and stick to the road like glue in the canyons.
