I have a '93 vfr, and I noticed a couple drops of antifreeze around the bottom of the water pump. Does the water pump begin to leak when it goes bad, or is it maybe just a bad seal, etc. It is not overheating or anything, just this small leak.

according to my service manual if it is coming from the telltale hole as honda calls it (weep hole) you need to replace the water pump assembly. now this is a 97 manual but should be basically same info for your year. besides regardless of manual, if coolant is leaking from the weep hole its time for a new pump. if it iss just between the halves you might get away with just a new seal. hope that helps

Check to see exactly where the fluid is coming from. Could be the hose and running down to the water pump.
