    Hello all,

I wanted to say thanks for all the advice, I learned a few things. I just recently bought a 85 interceptor 700. I got the bike as a bit of a project. I wanted to turn it into a kind of cafe racer, but I think I'm now leaning towards making it a GP type street bike. Opinions would be appreciated.

Any who, The bike runs strong, and I do mean strong but the guy I got it from should be shot for how he treated it. He dropped it on both sides (fell over not scraped but kinda cracked), and painted it with the fairings still on the bike (bone head) but with a little ingenuity, I am making it look presentable until this winter when I will tear it all the way down.

Well now time to shoot over and ask some questions.

    Thanks

It sounds like a good project. Do some research here as the 1st Gen 700 and 750 machines had cam wear issues. You may want to look into this first before deciding to invest any money in the bike. It amazes me how little care some people take of their bikes. Anyhow, let us know what you decide, post up some pictures and welcome to the forum.
